Wedding Series: Engagement Photos

Sunday, August 4, 2019

Back again for a wedding update! This time it's all about engagement photos. When we first got engaged I knew for sure I wanted to get engagement photos done. That was one criteria I was looking at when picking a photographer for our wedding day. I wanted the option for engagement photos, but not at an insane price.

If you want engagement photos, I highly suggest using your wedding photographer as it gives you a moment to get to know them and their personality before your big day. I can 100% say that I'm comfortable taking kissing photos now that we practiced with our photographer, haha.

When it came to picking out our outfits, I had previously bought a dress I adored from tuckernuck that was on super sale, and I wasn't even engaged! If you see something you love and you have a pretty good idea you're getting engaged feel free to grab it! I knew I wanted to wear white and have my fiancé wear something that complemented that (nothing with patterns or bright colored.) I also picked a second white dress that was a completely different style so I could have some variety in our pictures.

Lastly, the location. We live on the CT Shoreline and our home is pretty coastal when it comes to decor. So I knew I wanted to take pictures in a backdrop that would complement our home. We've been in our house for a little over 2 years now and barely have any pictures of us on the walls. This is just an extra tip if you're thinking of hanging these pictures up, think about your decor/style and what kind of backdrop would look best with that.

Now, the good stuff! Below are some of my favorite pictures that our photographer took! I'll leave her info below along with links to our outfits.
